As Steven wrote, the 83mm hood for 24-105 zooms is the EW-83N. There are other variations that will probably work fine, the differences are pretty subtle: EW-83H (EF f/4L mk I), EW-83M (EF f/3.5-5.6 and EF f/4L mk II). The EW-83L for the EF 24-70 f/4L IS USM will also probably work OK.

That review said the optics were the same as the original version, the only differences were cosmetic between it and the "II" version which came out in 2000. \$\endgroup\$ β
